Lise's Firebushes

So Lise gifted the garden with two firebush. I strategically planted them in a cocoon of evergreens for the fall contrast. Even as new shrubs they are going into bloom.

The allium is officially bumblebee approved.

Celandine Poppy or Woodland Poppy aquired at the Rare and Unusual plant sale at Annapolis Royal two weeks ago is about to bloom.

A new garden friend.

German Iris in full bloom.

Last but not least, a photo to prove that in a functioning garden nothing goes to waste.  The brown specs on the concrete are wings from the night's previous flight of the Junebugs.  The nesting birds in the yard clean the porch every day but leave behind wings.
